“One Ocean, One Mission, One Decade – One Voice”

The EurOCEAN 2023 Conference will be held in Vigo, Spain, on 10 and 11 October 2023 and will bring together the scientific community, political leaders and administrations at all levels, as well as the maritime industry and society representatives to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the marine realm.

About the conference

EurOCEAN 2023 will promote exchange and debate on the latest advances and future challenges in marine research and the sustainable use of the ocean. The motto of the Conference “One Ocean, One Voice” highlights the consensus from the international scientific community on the need to restore and safeguard Ocean health and the sustainability of the services provided by marine ecosystems for future generations by promoting scientific research and relevant knowledge.

The EurOCEAN Conference is the main European forum on marine science policy. It offers a unique opportunity for the marine research community and all stakeholders to interact with European policy makers and strategists to consider, discuss and respond to new developments, challenges and opportunities in marine science and technology.

The aim of the EurOCEAN 2023 science-policy conference is to highlight the synergies between the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030, other EU research and innovation, and management initiatives, and the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
