For six consecutive years, the National Coastal Marine Symposium of Guatemala has disseminated scientific information regarding the country’s marine-coastal zones and their biodiversity. Each year it has reached more than 100 people per event. With the participation of international and national researchers.
This trajectory has earned it the important endorsement of UNESCO, in the year 2023, as a high-impact activity that contributes to the “Actions of the Ocean Decade”; contributing to disseminate and promote the development of science in the coastal marine environment at a global level.
